untouchability not only a crime, but I'm human too.why and how did bam...
yes, untouchability is not only a crime it is inhuman too..
Bama got to see many things relating to untouchability. She itself was from a lower caste and experienced many things which made her felt submissive to others.
She was not likeable in her class. She asked her Brother all about this uncivilized system, her brother advised her to study hard so that others will come automatically to her. She took her brother's words and studied really hard.
She became 1st in her class, one of the brightest student. Many of the other kids even from really good profile started being friends with her.
Bama studied real hard and learned new things, and fought as a rebellion against the injustice of untouchability.

Introduction:
Untouchability is a social evil that has been prevalent in India for centuries. It refers to the practice of treating certain individuals or groups as impure and socially inferior based on their caste or occupation. Bama, an Indian writer and activist, decided to fight against untouchability due to her personal experiences and the deep-rooted injustices she witnessed growing up.

Bama's Experiences:
Bama, a Dalit woman, experienced discrimination and oppression from a young age. She was born into a marginalized community and faced numerous instances of untouchability, including being denied access to education, religious places, and public spaces. Bama's personal experiences of being treated as an outcast motivated her to take a stand against untouchability.

Awareness and Education:
Bama recognized that awareness and education are crucial in challenging and eradicating untouchability. She strongly believed that education is the key to empower marginalized communities. Bama herself pursued education against all odds and became the first Dalit woman to earn a Ph.D. in Tamil literature. Through her writings and activism, Bama aimed to raise awareness about the atrocities faced by Dalits and the need for social reform.

Writing and Activism:
Bama used her powerful voice as a writer to shed light on the experiences and struggles of Dalits. Her autobiographical works, such as "Karukku" and "Sangati," provide a vivid portrayal of the discrimination faced by Dalits in society. Bama's writings serve as a tool for social activism, challenging the existing caste-based hierarchy and advocating for equality.

Community Empowerment:
Bama actively engaged with grassroots organizations and worked towards empowering Dalit communities. She participated in rallies, protests, and movements aimed at eradicating untouchability and securing equal rights for Dalits. By actively involving herself in activism, Bama sought to mobilize and empower her community, inspiring them to fight against the oppressive caste system.

Conclusion:
Bama's decision to fight against untouchability was driven by her personal experiences of discrimination and her determination to bring about social change. Through education, writing, and activism, she challenged the deeply ingrained caste-based prejudices and worked towards creating a more inclusive and equal society. Bama's efforts continue to inspire individuals and communities to confront and dismantle the social evil of untouchability.
