(1)The effect of reducing friction that it can fast the moving objects. Friction acts at right angles to the direction of motion. Friction can be reduced by lubricatings,ball bearing,etc. (2)The effect of increasing the friction can slow down moving objects. Rough surfaces produces more friction .For ex:-Walking by sandals that have spikes, gravels used in slippery after rain,etc.
