The number of hours you study for NEET doesn't really matter. You may even study for 10 hours and then be unable to solve a single MCQ. What really matters is how you study.
If you think that just by reading all day you can crack NEET then this is probably your biggest misconception. You have to practice hard and solve as many MCQs you can. Moreover you should not focus too much on any one subject or topic. You should manage your time so that you can study all the subjects.Focus more on the most important topics rather than the less important ones. Don't keep piling up your doubts. Get them cleared from your teacher. Focus on your strengths first and then come to your weaknesses.
Practice physics everyday because physics is such a subject which you can never learn by reading the theory only. You have to practice like hell until you become master in it.In organic chemistry focus on the mechanism of the reactions rather than mugging up the reactants and products. Practice the mechanisms everyday and also the minute variations on those mechanisms so that you can answer every typical question.For biology study the diagrams and flowcharts as well.Once you think your syllabus is finished start solving sample papers. Keep track of the time while doing it.So, the no. of hours you need to do all these things depend entirely upon yourself. I used to study for 9-10 hours regularly. Now you decide how much you want to study.
