It's a lesson where a boy named Jody and his dad go to a forest and then Jody father gets bit by a poisonous snake, then they find a doe whit a young fawn, they kill the doe and use its liver and heart to remove the poison. then they return to there house. after a day or so jody remembers the fawn they left in the forest, thinking that it might be scared and hungry, so he asks his da that can he bring the fawn to there home the accepts thinking that it's not its fault that his mother died. then he tells to his mother he is going to bring the fawn to which she gets shocked. mill wheel and others support jody to bring the fawn and then she accepts. mill wheel offers a ride to the forests and then jody wonders the sadness in his own face when finds that the fawn is not there or the secrecy in meeting the fawn so by some excuse he sends of mill wheel. after some time he finds the fawn behind the bushes and feeds it milk. the story ends here.
