Now using property of A.M.
2p = a + q or a = 2p - q ...(1)
Similarly 2q = p + b or b = 2q - p ...(2)
Now G is the G.M.between a b Thus using property of G.M
G^2 = ab ( Putting values of a b from equation 1 2)
G^2 = (2p -q) (2q - p)
