BPSC 1 Year Study Plan | BPSC Preparation: All subjects - BPSC (Bihar)

Month 1: Build a Strong Foundation in General Science, History, and Previous Years

  • General Science: Focus on basic concepts in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Read NCERTs from Class 6-10. Emphasize day-to-day scientific concepts.
  • History of India: Start with Ancient and Medieval India, using NCERTs. Focus on the social, economic, and political aspects. Along with this also focus on Bihar specific  history such as  Santhal Uprising, 1857, and Bihar’s role in the Indian freedom struggle.
  • Previous Year: Analyze the previous year questions as these will help you to build a basic understanding of about what kind of questions can be asked in paper so that your preparation is  also aligned in the same way.

Month 2:  Deepen Understanding of Geography and Polity

  • General Geography: Study physical geography, major rivers, climate, agriculture, and resources of India. Focus on Bihar’s geographical division and river systems.

  • Answer writing : From now on  start answer writing , you can start first with previous year and then can switch to mock tests.

Month 6:  Strengthen Understanding of Polity, Economy, and Geography

  • Indian Polity: Focus on the functioning of the Indian Parliament, the judiciary, and the executive. Study the structure of governance in Bihar. 
  • Indian Economy: Study economic policies, poverty alleviation, rural and urban development in India. Analyze Bihar’s economic growth in the post-independence era.
  • Geography of Bihar: Revise Bihar’s physical and economic geography, climate, rivers, and resources.
  • Here have an integrated approach for both mains and prelims .
  • Current Affairs: Revise current affairs regularly but keep a special revision  of the last 6 months current affairs.

Month 7: Focus on Science and Technology’s Role in Development and Statistical Analysis

  • Science and Technology: Focus on technological advancements and their role in India’s development. Pay attention to the applied aspects, especially in Bihar.
  • Statisitical AnalysisStart Practicing answer writing  for the same and focus on previous year solutions to understand the answer writing format 
  • General Mental Ability: Continue practicing with a focus on quantitative aptitude, reasoning, and logical puzzles.

Month 8:  Focus on General Hindi and Current Affairs

  • General Hindi: Focus on the Hindi Grammar, and essay ,here you can refer to previous year to get a basic understanding of what kind of questions are generally asked in the paper , to ace up your essay writing refer to the current affairs. For the precis writing and summarisation you can practice questions.
  • Current AffairsFocus specifically on Bihar related current affairs that includes latest developmental initiatives, schemes and projects implemented in Bihar

Month 9:  Revise and Deepen Understanding of History, Geography and Polity
