Ans. In a chemical reaction, atoms and molecules rearrange their bonds to form new substances. The total number of atoms remains the same before and after the reaction, as atoms are neither created nor destroyed. This is known as the law of conservation of mass. During a chemical reaction, the bonds between atoms in the reactant molecules break, and new bonds form to create the products.
