Omana’s Journey

• Omana and Radha, who were best friends, were excited about their train journey to Kerala with their families. 
• Omana planned to visit her grandmother, while Radha was supposed to go on a trip. 
• Unfortunately, Radha fractured her right leg in an accident, leading to the cancellation of their trip. 
• Both friends were disappointed because they had many plans for the trip. 
• Radha's mother had a brilliant idea: she asked Omana to write a diary about her experiences during the journey.

Omana’s Diary – 16th May

• Omana and her family arrived at the railway station and checked the reservation chart, finding their names listed. 
• The train was nearly full and started from Gandhidham, Kutch, Gujarat. 
• After struggling with luggage, they found their seats and sat down. 
• The ticket collector later checked their tickets to ensure they were in the right place. 

• Omana's parents had lower berths, while Omana and her brother had middle berths. 
• Two college students occupied the upper berth, and a family with two children had the side berths. 
• Omana sat by the window and started writing about the journey for Radha. 
• For lunch, Omana's mom opened the lunch box containing dhokla, lemon rice, and some sweets.

Omana’s Diary – 16th May (After lunch)

• After lunch, most of the passengers slept, but Omana stayed awake, looking out at the dry, brown fields. 
• The train seemed to speed up at times, making things outside appear to move backward. 
• As the train reached Ahmedabad, the sun began to set, painting the sky orange. 
• They passed through Valsad station quickly, but it was noisy with vendors shouting about tea, hot snacks, and cold drinks. 
• Omana bought some bananas and chikoos.

Omana's Diary - 16th May (Evening)

• Omana made some new friends named Sunil and Ann.
• They were going to their grandmother’s house in Kozhikode.
• Sunil gave some story books to Omana to read.
• Then she went to brush her teeth but there was no water in the bathroom.
• Somebody told Omana that it would only be filled at the next big station.
