Introduction

Reasoning and Logical Thinking

• We do many activities every day that need thinking and solving skills.
• Reasoning is thinking about things in a clear and logical way.
• Problem-solving means finding ways to complete tasks step by step.
  Example: To plan a picnic, follow steps like counting people, choosing a place, and packing food.
• All steps are important; missing one can cause problems.
• If the picnic place isn’t good for the weather, people may not enjoy it.
• If the number of people isn’t counted, food may not be enough.
• Sometimes, even with good planning, issues like a vehicle breaking down can happen.
• Solve such issues by thinking logically, like arranging another vehicle for the picnic.

Case 1: Making a Greetings Card

Help your little brother make a greetings card with these steps:

• Gather items: thick paper or blank card, glue, scissors, pen, pencil, eraser, sketch pens, crayons, water colors, and decoration items like stars or ribbons.
• Take a thick sheet or blank card and fold it in half.
• Cut the paper to a smaller size if needed.
• Draw a picture you like on the card.
• Color the picture using colors of your choice.
• Write a message, like a birthday wish, on the card.
• Decorate it with items like stars, ribbons, and paper flowers.

Help your friend switch on a computer with these steps:

• Turn on the main power supply button.
• Press the UPS button to start it.
• Switch on the power button of the CPU.
