Describe an age/stage you enjoyed mostly in your life | Speaking for IELTS PDF Download

You should say:

  • what the age/stage was
  • what did you like to do back then
  • Back then, with whom did you enjoy the most
  • and explain why you really like that age/stage.

Sample Answer:

  • Undoubtedly, childhood is the only stage that gives us utmost peace and relishing memories. Unfortunately, as we grow older, we remember close to nothing about this stage. So, here, I’d like to talk about my teenage years as those were the days I enjoyed the most.
  • Those were the carefree days. Although going to school and tuition was a necessity, I could do anything I wanted for the rest of the day. Out of all the things, I liked playing with my friends. Back then, I enjoyed myself with my friends a lot. It was simply amazing how all of us used to get together, regardless of how many times we fought. There were a handful of houses in my colony. And, every house had at least 2-3 children of my age. We had an entire group of 10 people, boys and girls included. We were no less than a gang in our area.
  • It was a phase when we were growing up, completely unknown to how the world worked. Jealously, hatred, competitiveness, hard work – these were a few things we were unaware of. That was the time when we had pure, innocent and unstained souls. Today, running behind our dreams and purposes, we have lost it all. I wish we could get a chance to go back to our teenage years to relax for a while.

Follow-ups
Q1: Why do you think this stage of your life was the most enjoyable?
Ans:
This stage was the most enjoyable because I had fewer responsibilities and more freedom to explore new things. I was able to focus on my hobbies, spend time with my friends and family, and experience new adventures without the pressures of adult life. It was a carefree time when I could truly enjoy the present moment.

Q2: Do you think people enjoy their childhood more than adulthood? Why or why not?
Ans:
I believe many people enjoy their childhood more than adulthood because of the lack of responsibilities and the sense of wonder that comes with being young. Children are free to play and explore, while adults have to deal with work, bills, and other serious matters. However, some people also enjoy adulthood for the independence and personal achievements it brings.

Q3: How can people make the most of every stage of their life?
Ans:
People can make the most of every stage of their life by setting meaningful goals, maintaining a positive attitude, and learning from experiences. In childhood, it’s about exploring and learning, while in adulthood, it’s about personal growth and contributing to society. Every stage has its own set of opportunities, and making the most of them involves being present and appreciating the journey.

Q4: What do you think is the most important thing to enjoy during youth?
Ans:
The most important thing to enjoy during youth is the opportunity to learn and discover new things. Youth is the time to explore different interests, develop skills, and form lasting relationships. It’s also the time to take risks and experience life without fear of failure, as these experiences shape one’s future.
