1. How do you read and write decimals?

Ans. Decimals are read by saying the whole number part first, then saying "point," and finally saying the decimal part digit by digit. For example, 3.25 is read as "three point two five." Decimals are written with a decimal point to separate the whole number part from the fractional part.

2. How do you compare decimals?

Ans. To compare decimals, start by looking at the whole number parts. If the whole number parts are the same, compare the tenths place, then the hundredths place, and so on. If the whole number parts are different, the decimal with the greater whole number part is greater.

3. How do you add and subtract decimals?

Ans. To add or subtract decimals, align the decimal points and then perform the operation as you would with whole numbers. Remember to carry over any digits when needed. Finally, place the decimal point in the answer directly below the decimal points in the numbers being added or subtracted.

4. How do you multiply decimals?

Ans. To multiply decimals, ignore the decimal points and multiply the numbers as if they were whole numbers. Count the total number of decimal places in the numbers being multiplied and place the decimal point in the answer so that it has the same number of decimal places.

5. How do you divide decimals?

Ans. To divide decimals, move the decimal point in the divisor to the right until it becomes a whole number. Then, move the decimal point in the dividend the same number of places to the right. Perform the division as with whole numbers and place the decimal point in the quotient.
