  1. The applicant must be a citizen of India.
  2. The applicant can also be a subject of Nepal or Bhutan.
  3. A Tibetan refugee who has settled permanently in India before January 1, 1962, is eligible.
  4. Individuals of Indian origin who have migrated from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma, Vietnam, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania, Zaire, or Zambia with the intention of permanently residing in India are eligible to apply.

IBPS PO Eligibility Criteria 2023: Qualification

Applicants applying for IBPS PO 2023 should have the following educational qualification: An applicant possessing a graduate degree (such as BA, BCom, BSc, B.Tech) from a recognized university.   • For the position of Officer Scale-I (Assistant Manager), candidates should have a graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Preference is given to candidates with specific degrees such as Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing, Cooperation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics, or Accountancy. Proficiency in the local language and working knowledge of computers is also required.
  • For the position of Officer Scale-II General Banking Officer (Manager), candidates must have a graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks. Preference is given to candidates with specific degrees like Banking, Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics, and Accountancy. Additionally, candidates should have at least two years of experience as an officer in a Bank or Financial Institution.
  • For the position of Officer Scale-II Specialist Officers (Manager), specific educational qualifications are required based on the specialized role:
    • Information Technology Officer: Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in Electronics/Communication/Computer Science/Information Technology or its equivalent from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. In addition, specific certifications in areas like ASP, PHP, C++, Java, VB, VC, OCP, etc., are required, along with one year of relevant field experience.
    • Chartered Accountant: Candidates should be a Certified Associate (CA) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and have at least one year of experience as a Chartered Accountant.
    • Law Officer: Candidates should have a degree in Law or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks. Additionally, candidates should have at least two years of experience as an advocate or Law Officer in Banks or Financial Institutions.
    • Treasury Manager: Candidates should either be a Chartered Accountant or hold an MBA in Finance from a recognized university/institution. One year of experience in the relevant field is required.
    • Marketing Officer: Candidates should have an MBA in Marketing from a recognized university, along with at least one year of experience in the relevant field.
