The Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) have begun announcing the list of shortlisted candidates for their Post Graduate Program (PGP) admissions. These shortlists are published in multiple cycles on the official IIM website and can be accessed by candidates using their application number and password. The IIM shortlist 2025 comprises the names of those candidates who have qualified to take part in the Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds of the IIMs.
The six leading Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs), namely IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, IIM Calcutta, IIM Kozhikode, IIM Lucknow, and IIM Indore, are known to release their shortlists quickly by their 2025 admission policy. This usually occurs within a few days after the announcement of the Common Admission Test (CAT) exam results.
One of the nine new Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) will coordinate the Common Admission Process (CAP) 2025 for the admission of candidates to IIM Kashipur, IIM Raipur, IIM Ranchi, IIM Trichy, IIM Udaipur, IIM Bodhgaya, IIM Jammu, IIM Sambalpur, and IIM Sirmaur. A Common shortlist for these nine CAP participating IIMs will be published in the third week of January 2025. The CAP process will be conducted from mid-February to mid-March 2025 and will include a common Personal Interview (PI) and Written Ability Test (WAT) round for all nine IIMs.
IIM Bodh Gaya and IIM Jammu have disclosed different standards for shortlisting applicants during the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) and their selection procedures. A higher cut-off is established for the CAP round and a lower cut-off is established for their selection process following the conclusion of CAP. These IIMs have stated that candidates who are not selected for CAP 2025 will receive separate notifications from the institutes based on their respective shortlisting criteria outlined in their admission policies.
IIMs Shillong, Rohtak, Amritsar, Nagpur, and Visakhapatnam are not participating in the 2025 IIM Common Admission Process (CAP). They are releasing their shortlists independently. IIM Visakhapatnam and Nagpur will announce their Phase-1 shortlists, while IIM Shillong will publish its final selection round shortlist. The Personal Interview (PI) round is expected to begin soon. IIM Rohtak, which previously participated in the CAP round, is not participating in the new CAP 2025 and is conducting its admission process online, requiring candidates to re-register and apply for admission. The shortlist for IIM Rohtak will be released soon from among the applicants. IIM Amritsar's shortlist is expected to be released in February/March 2025.
