NABARD Grade A 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Education Qualifications

The education requirements are different for different posts. They are described as follows:

  • Information Technology: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology/ Computer Technology/ Computer Science/ Computer Applications with a minimum of 50% in aggregate (SC/ST/PWD applicants will receive a 5% relaxation). OR a postgraduate degree in Information Technology/Computer Technology/Computer Science/Computer Applications from a recognised institute/university with at least 50% in aggregate (a 5% relaxation will be allowed for SC/ST/PWD applicants).
  • Agriculture Engineering: Bachelor's degree in agriculture from a recognised university with a minimum of 50% in aggregate (a 5% relaxation will be allowed for SC/ST/PWD applicants). OR a Postgraduate degree in Agriculture Engineering from a recognised university/institution with at least 50% in aggregate (a 5% relaxation would be allowed for SC/ST/PWD applicants).
  • General: Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognised Institute/University with a minimum of 50% in aggregate (SC/ST/PWD applicants will receive a 5% relaxation). OR a Master's degree with a minimum of 50% in aggregate (a 5% relaxation will be granted to SC/ST/PWD applicants). OR a bachelor's degree with a Ph.D./CA/CS/CWA. OR a 2-year full-time MBA degree or full-time Postgraduate Diploma in Management from an Institute recognised by the Government of India / UGC, plus a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
  • General Agriculture: Bachelor's degree in agriculture from a recognised university with a minimum of 50% in aggregate (a 5% relaxation will be allowed for SC/ST/PWD applicants). OR a Postgraduate degree in Agriculture Engineering with a minimum of 50% in aggregate (a 5% relaxation will be granted to SC/ST/PWD applicants).
  • Food Processing: Bachelor's degree / Bachelor of Engineering / Bachelor of Technology in Food Processing /Food Technology with at least 50% in aggregate (SC/ST/PWD applicants will receive a 5% relaxation). OR a postgraduate degree in food processing/food technology from a recognised university/institution with at least 50% (relaxation of 5% will be allowed for SC/ST/PWD applicants) in aggregate.
  • Land Development – Soil Science: Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture/Agriculture (Soil Science/Agronomy) with a minimum of 50% in aggregate (SC/ST/PWD applicants will receive a 5% relaxation). OR a postgraduate degree in Agriculture/Agriculture (Soil Science/Agronomy) from a recognised university with a minimum of 50% (a 5% relaxation will be allowed for SC/ST/PWD applicants).
  • Agriculture Engineering: Bachelor's degree in agriculture from a recognised university with a minimum of 50% in aggregate (a 5% relaxation will be allowed for SC/ST/PWD applicants). OR a Postgraduate degree in Agriculture Engineering from a recognised university/institution with at least 50% in aggregate (a 5% relaxation would be allowed for SC/ST/PWD applicants).
  • Agriculture marketing/Agri-Business Management: Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture Business Management/Agriculture Marketing with a minimum of 50% in aggregate (a 5% relaxation would be given to SC/ST/PWD applicants). OR two years of full-time study Post Graduate Diploma/Post Graduate Degree/ MBA in Agriculture Marketing/ Agriculture Business Management from a recognised university or institution with a minimum of 50% in aggregate (Relaxation of 5% would be allowed for SC/ST/PWD applicants).
  • Environment: A bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering/Environmental Science as a subject and a minimum of 50% in aggregate (a 5% relaxation will be offered for SC/ST/PWD applicants). OR a postgraduate degree in environmental engineering or environmental science from a recognised university or institution with a minimum of 50% in aggregate (a 5% relaxation will be granted to SC/ST/PWD applicants).
  • Chartered Accountant: Membership in the ICAI and graduation in any discipline from a recognised institute/university (Institute of Chartered Accountants of India). The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India membership must be received on or before January 1, 2026.
  • Geo Informatics: In aggregate, a B Tech/BE/Bs.C. degree in Geo-Informatics with a minimum of 50% marks (a 5% relaxation will be offered for SC/ST/PWD applicants). OR an M. Tech./M.E./Ms.C. degree in Geoinformatics from a recognised university/institute with at least 50% in aggregate (a 5% relaxation will be allowed for SC/ST/PWD applicants).
  • Statistics: Bachelor's degree in statistics with a minimum of 50% in aggregate (relaxation of 5% will be offered for SC/ST/PWD applicants). OR a postgraduate degree in statistics from a recognised institute/university with at least 50% in aggregate (a 5% relaxation will be allowed for SC/ST/PWD applicants).
  • Agricultural Economics/Economics: Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture Economics/Economics with a minimum of 50% in aggregate (a 5% relaxation would be allowed for SC/ST/PWD applicants). OR a postgraduate degree in Agriculture Economics/ Economics from a recognised university/ institute with at least 50% in aggregate (a 5% relaxation would be allowed for SC/ST/PWD applicants).
  • Company Secretary: Associate membership in ICSI and a bachelor's degree in any discipline (Institute of Company Secretaries of India ). The Institute of Company Secretaries of India membership must be obtained on or before January 1, 2026.
  • Human Resource Management: Bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks in BBM (Human Resource Management), BBA (Human Resource Management), or BMS (Human Resource Management) (Relaxation of 5% would be allowed for SC/ST/PWD applicants). OR, a two-year full-time MBA in HRM or HR/a two-year full-time postgraduate diploma in HRM/HR management from a recognised institute/university.
  • Finance: Bachelor's degree in finance/banking, such as BMS (Finance/Banking) or BBA (Finance/Banking) with at least 50% in aggregate (relaxation of 5% for SC/ST/PWD applicants). OR a two-year full-time MBA (Finance) / full-time Postgraduate Diploma in Management (Finance) / a degree from a University/Institute recognised by the Government of India / the University Grants Commission. OR a bachelor's degree in finance and investment analysis with a minimum of 50% (SC/ST/PWD applicants will be granted a 5% relaxation).

NABARD Grade A Age Requirements

The candidates must be between the 21 and 30 years of age to be eligible for NABARD Grade A Exam. The reference date for the calculation of the NABARD Grade A Age Limit is expected to be 1st July 2025and will be notified in the NABARD Grade A Notification. The minimum age limit is 21 years and the maximum age limit is 30 years.

NABARD Grade A 2025 Selection Process

NABARD recruits Assistant Managers (Grade A) through an online selection process. The exam is conducted in three phases. The candidates have to ace all the stages of the NABARD Grade A selection process to get the aspired post of Assistant Manager in the firm. 

  • Phase-I (Preliminary Examination): It is an online objective exam carrying 200 marks. It is qualifying in nature. 
  • Phase-II (Main Examination): It is also an online exam but a mix of MCQ and Descriptive Pattern Namely Paper I and Paper II. 
  • Phase-III (Interview): Candidates scoring remarkably high in the Main examination are shortlisted for Interviews.

If you secure a sufficiently high rank in the exam then you will be called for the Interview. The Final Merit List will be prepared based on marks obtained by you in Mains and Interview. The Interview will be held for a total of 50 marks for RDBS/ Rajbhasha and for 100 marks for P&SS posts.

The marking scheme of NABARD Grade A is given below: 

  • There is a penalty for wrong answers. For every wrong answer, 1/4 marks assigned to that question are deducted as a penalty in both prelims and mains exams.
