Safety means to protect oneself from harm. We should always follow safety rules to keep away from danger.

Safety on the Road

  • Always walk on the footpath, not on the road.
  • Walk facing the oncoming traffic when there are no footpaths, so that you can see what is coming towards you.
  • Think and plan the safest route to school, market, your friend’s house and other places.
  • At the signal, cross only on a clear green signal.
  • Running across the road is a bad idea, as you may slip and fall.
  • Always cross the road at the zebra crossing.
  • Before crossing the road, look to your left, then to your right and again to your left before crossing the road.
  • Never play or run on the road.
