Making Recycled Paper
1
Tear old newspapers into small pieces
Begin by collecting and tearing old newspapers
into small pieces
2
Soak in water with fenugreek seeds
overnight (seeds help bind paper)
The fenugreek seeds act as a natural binding
agent for the paper pulp
3
Mash into a wet mixture using a grinder
or hands
Create a consistent pulp by thoroughly mashing
the soaked paper
4
Spread mixture on a flat surface, roll into
thin sheets
Ensure even thickness for quality recycled paper
5
Dry the sheets to create recycled paper
Allow sufficient drying time for best results

Why Recycle?
Saves trees, water, and energy
Recycling one ton of paper can save approximately 17
trees, 7,000 gallons of water, and enough energy to
power an average home for six months.
Reduces environmental impact
The production of recycled paper creates significantly
less air pollution and water pollution than making new
paper from trees.
