A total of Rs. 850/- is the application fee to be paid by candidates belonging to the General and OBC category for RBI Grade B 2025 exam. The same amount is reduced to Rs. 100/- for candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD category.

RBI Grade B 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates are required to follow the given criteria (as per the previous year RBI Grade B Notification) to be eligible for RBI Grade B 2025 Exam:

RBI Grade B Citizenship & Nationality

• Must be a citizen of India
• Must be a subject of Nepal
• Must be a subject of Bhutan
• Must be a Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 and has the intention of settling permanently in India.
• A person of Indian origin migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Uganda, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

RBI Grade B Age Limit

RBI has defined minimum age criteria for appearing in the RBI Officer (Grade ‘B’) examination. Candidates are required to be aged between 21 years and 30 years (both age included) to apply for RBI Grade B exam 2025. For candidates possessing M.Phil. and Ph.D. qualifications, the upper age limit will be 32 and 34 years respectively.

RBI Grade B Salary 2025

Every candidate preparing for this exam is curious about the salary because financial stability is a key concern. The salary structure for an RBI Grade B Officer begins with a basic pay of Rs 55,200. After various increments, this basic pay can increase to Rs 99,750 after a period of 16 years. In addition to the basic pay, several allowances are added, and some deductions are made. These adjustments lead to a total salary for the RBI Grade B Officer that amounts to several lakhs. The gross salary, excluding House Rent Allowance (HRA), is approximately Rs 1,22,717.

RBI Grade B Interview

• Candidates will be shortlisted for the interview, based on the aggregate of marks obtained in Phase 2 (Paper 1 +Paper 2 + Paper 3).
• The minimum aggregate cut-off marks for being shortlisted for an interview will be decided by the Board in relation to the number of vacancies.
• Roll No. of the candidates shortlisted for interview will be published on the RBI website at an appropriate time and interview call letters will be sent to the registered email ID.
• The interview will carry 75 marks.
• The candidate shall be required to undergo Psychometric Test conducted by the Bank before appearing for the Interview.
• No marks will be allotted for the same and this will not form part of the final selection criteria.
• Candidates may opt for an interview either in Hindi or English.

Final Selection will be through a merit list which will be prepared by adding marks secured by candidates in the Phase-II examination and interview and grace marks as applicable as per extant rules.
