Introduction

  • Create a setting: Decide on the time and place where your story will take place.

  • Identify the conflict: Determine the main problem or struggle faced by your characters.
  • Plan the resolution: Decide how the conflict will be resolved and how the story will end.

Writing a Story

Once you have planned your story, follow these steps to write it:

  • Introduction: Introduce your characters and setting in the beginning. You can begin with a description of the setting or by introducing the main character.
  • Build the plot: Write the sequence of events that lead to the conflict. Make sure the events are connected and flow logically.
  • Introduce the conflict: Present the main problem or struggle faced by the characters.
  • Develop the characters: Show how the characters respond to the conflict and how they change over time.
  • Resolution: Write the solution to the conflict and bring the story to a conclusion.
  • Ending: Wrap up the story by revealing the final outcome and the characters' fates.

Tips for Writing a Good Story

  • Use descriptive language: Use adjectives, adverbs, and sensory details to make your story more interesting and vivid.
  • Show, don't tell: Instead of telling the reader what the characters feel or think, show it through their actions, dialogue, and expressions.
  • Use dialogue: Include conversations between characters to make the story more engaging and to reveal their personalities.
  • Keep the story focused: Stick to your plot and avoid adding unnecessary details that do not contribute to the story.
  • Edit and revise: After writing your story, review it for any errors or improvements. Revise and edit your work to make it the best it can be.

Title: The Thirsty Crow

Once upon a time, a thirsty crow was flying around on a hot summer day, looking for water. After a long time, he finally found a small pot with a little water at the bottom. He tried to reach the water, but the pot was too deep and he couldn't reach it.
The crow thought of a clever idea. He began to drop pebbles into the pot. As he dropped more pebbles, the water level in the pot started to rise higher. The crow continued to drop pebbles until he could finally reach the water. He drank the water and quenched his thirst.

One day, a young hare challenged a tortoise to a race. The hare was very confident that he would win easily because the tortoise was slow and steady. The race began and the hare quickly took off and left the tortoise far behind.
Feeling overconfident, the hare decided to take a nap and wait for the tortoise to catch up. Meanwhile, the tortoise kept moving slowly and steadily, and eventually passed the sleeping hare. When the hare woke up, he realized that the tortoise was ahead of him and tried to catch up. However, it was too late as the tortoise had already reached the finish line before the hare.
Moral: Slow and Steady Wins the Race

One day, a lion was trapped in a hunter's net. The lion struggled to break free, but he could not. A small mouse saw the lion's plight and decided to help him. The mouse began to gnaw on the net and eventually freed the lion.
The lion was grateful for the mouse's help, and they became good friends.
Moral: No Act of Kindness, No Matter How Small, Is Ever Wasted

Title: The Boy Who Cried Wolf
There was once a shepherd boy who would cry "wolf" as a joke, and the villagers would come running to help him. The boy would then laugh at the villagers for being fooled. The boy did this several times until the villagers stopped believing him.
One day, a real wolf attacked the boy's sheep. The boy cried for help, but the villagers thought it was another trick and didn't come to help him. As a result, the wolf killed many of his sheep.
Moral: Honesty Is The Best Policy

Title: The Tailor and the Elephant
Once there was a king who had an elephant. The trainer took it to a river for bath every day. It always passed by a tailor's shop. The tailor fed it bananas. One day the tailor was not in a good mood. The elephant came as usual. The tailor pricked its trunk with a needle. The elephant was annoyed. It went away quietly. It had a bath in the river. Before returning, it filled its trunk with muddy water. It came back to the tailor's shop. It threw the muddy water all over in the tailor's shop. All his new clothes got soiled.
Moral: Tit for Tat. 

Sample 6
A poor farmer ____ gets a wonderful _______ hen ____ lays a golden egg daily _______ farmer becomes rich ____ richer _______ wants to be richest ___ cuts it ____ finds no gold _____  

Title: The Greedy Farmer
Once there lived a farmer in a village. He was very poor. A saint visited the village. He took pity on the farmer. He gave the farmer a wonderful hen that gave one golden egg every day.
The farmer grew rich. But he was greedy. He wanted to get all the eggs for once. So he took a knife and cut the hen's stomach to extract all the golden eggs once for all. But he could find nothing. He was sad and disappointed. But it was no use repenting. The farmer could get no more gold. He grew poor again.  
Moral: Greed is a Curse.  

Sample 7
A farmer _______ four sons ________ quarrels _________ advises _________ not listen ________ plans ________ brings a bundle of stick _________ ask to break ____________ cannot break it _________ unties. _________ asks again __________ easily _________ learn lesson.

Title:  A Farmer and Four Sons 
A Farmer and Four Sons : Once upon a time there was a farmer. He had four sons. They quarrelled with one another. The farmer advised them not to quarrel. They did not listen to him. He thought of a plan. He asked them to bring a bundle of sticks. He asked them to break it. They tried but could not break it. Now he asked them to untie it. He asked again them to break the sticks. Now the sons broke all the sticks easily. They learnt a lesson, 'Union is strength'.
Moral: Union is strength.

Sample 8
A farmer _________ coming back ________ cold ________ Sees a snake _________ brings home ________ puts near fire _______ warm ________ son _________ playing _______ tries to bite _______ drive away.

Title:  A Farmer and A Snake 
A Farmer and A Snake : Once there was a farmer. He was coming back to his house. It was very cold. He saw a snake lying on the road. He took it. He brought it to his house. He put it near fire. After some time he was warm. The son of the farmer was playing there. The snake tried to bite him. The farmer was very angry. He drove it away in the forest.
Moral: Nature never changes.
