Paragraph 1

She had some sweets that she wouldn’t share,
She had a book that she wouldn’t lend,
She wouldn’t let anyone play with her doll,
She’s nobody’s friend!

Summary: The first part of the poem mentions a girl who has sweets but she doesn't want to share them with anyone. She also had many books but would not lend them to anyone. She had a beautiful doll but would not let anyone play with it. Thus she is alone and is nobody’s friend.

He had some toffee, and ate every bit, 
He had a tricycle he wouldn’t lend, 
He never let anyone play with his train, 
He’s nobody’s friend! 

Summary: The second part of the poem draws the picture of a boy who is not ready to share his things with anyone as well. He had some toffee and ate the entire thing without sharing. He had a tricycle which he would never lend to any of his friends. He also had a train but would never let anyone play with it. Thus he is nobody’s friend.

But I’ll share all of my sweets with you, 
My ball and my books and my games I will lend, 
Here’s half my apple and half my cake 
— I’m your friend! 

Summary: The third and the concluding para of the poem ends the poem with a positive thought. The poet includes herself saying she shares her sweet and also her ball and books. She even lends her toys and shares her apple and her cake; hence she is everyone’s friend.
