 Where Do Animals Live?

  • Animals live in various locations. 
  • Some animals live in the trees. For example, birds like crows, pigeons, cuckoos, and squirrels.
  • Some animals also live in the water. For example Fish, Frog, etc
  • Some live on land. For example, Street Dogs, Cats, etc.
  • Others live underground. For example Rabbits, Earthworms.
  • And some fly through the air. For example, flying squirrels and flying fish.
  • Some animals even make their homes in our homes. For example, Mouse, House Lizards. etc.

Movement of Animals:

  • Some animals walk. They move from one place to another in different ways..
  • Some animals walk. Example: Lion, Tiger etc.
  • Some animals crawl. Example: Snake
  • Some animals use their wings to fly and move. For example, birds like crows and parrots.
  • Different kinds of animals, like some animals, use their feet, and some use their wings. Some animals even take the help of their tail.

This chapter helps us to learn about the following things:

  • Different kinds of animals.
  • Where do they stay?
  • How they move.
  • What they have, which helps them to move.

Examples of How Animals Move:

  • A dog stays on the ground and uses its four legs to move from one place to another.
  • A Crow stays on the tree in a nest, it uses its wings to move as well as its two legs too.
  • A Frog stays on the surface as well as in the water, they jump using their feet and their webbed legs help them to swim under the water. 
  • A Mouse, they stay on the surface. They sometimes make their own house in our house and they use their four legs to move.
