If they try to come out and play before the right time, their teacher makes them stand in a corner.

The branches of trees make noise as they move in the wind, and the leaves create a rustling sound. The clouds in the sky make thunderous sounds like giant hands clapping. The flowers, like children, come out in colorful dresses of pink, yellow, and white. The speaker wonders if the flowers are eager to reach their home in the sky where the stars are. The poet mentions that he can guess to whom the flowers raise their arms; just like he has his own mother, the flowers have their own special connection.
