Q6. Ramu’s height is 120 cm, and Shamu’s height is 1 m 20 cm. Are they the same height? Show how. (2 Marks)
Ans: Yes, they are the same. 1 meter = 100 cm, so 1 m 20 cm = 100 cm + 20 cm = 120 cm, which is equal to Ramu’s height.

Q7. A book is 20 cm long. If you place 3 such books end-to-end, what is the total length in centimeters? (2 Marks)
Ans: Length of one book + 20 cm
Total length = 20 cm + 20 cm + 20 cm = 60 cm.

Q8. A ribbon is 50 cm long. If you cut it into 2 equal parts, what is the length of each part in centimeters? (2 Marks)
Ans: Total length  of ribbon = 50 cm
Total no. of  parts = 2
 Length of each part = 50  ÷ 2 = 25 cm.

Q9. A table is 100 cm long, and a chair is 60 cm long. Which is longer, and by how much in centimeters? (2 Marks)
Ans: Length of table= 100 cm
Length of chair = 60 cm
Difference: 100 cm - 60 cm = 40 cm.
The table is longer by 40 cm.

Q10. A desk is 1 meter 25 cm long, and a shelf is 85 cm long. Which is longer, and by how much in centimeters? Show steps. (3 Marks)
Ans: Convert desk length: 1 meter 25 cm = 100 cm + 25 cm = 125 cm.(1 meter =100 cm)
Length of shelf= 85 cm
Difference: 125 cm - 85 cm = 40 cm.
The desk is longer by 40 cm.

Q11. Bhola’s garden is a rectangle with two sides of 1 meter each and two sides of 50 cm each. Find the perimeter in centimeters. Show steps. (3 Marks)
Ans:  Convert to centimeters: 1 meter = 100 cm, 50 cm = 50 cm.
Perimeter ( Sum of all sides )= 100+100+50=50=300 cm
