The Warrior Poet King
The king was a brave 
warrior and a gifted poet 
who wrote works like 
Amuktamalyada.
The Royal Court
His court had eight great 
poets, the 
Ashtadiggajas, including 
the witty Tenali 
Ramakrishna.
The Misunderstanding Begins
One day, the king wrote a difficult poem, but his 
ministers avoided giving an opinion.
When he recited it to Queen Thirumalambal, she 
yawned as she was tired, which the king mistook as 
disrespect.
Angry and hurt, the king stopped speaking to the 
queen, and the palace atmosphere became sad.
The queen, worried, sought Tenali Ramakrishna's 
help to solve the misunderstanding.
