  • Wanaparthy District was established as per the Districts Reorganization Act of 2016, following the division of Telangana State. Initially, Wanaparthy Revenue Division consisted of 8 Mandals within Mahabubnagar District. 
  • Subsequently, Madanapuram, Revally, Chinnambavi, and Srirangapur Mandals were newly formed by reorganizing Atmakur, Amarchintha, and Narva Mandals from Narayanpet Division of the former Mahbubnagar District. Currently, the district comprises 14 Mandals.

  • The project aims to provide water to drought-prone areas in various mandals like Amarachintha, Atmakur, Kothakota, Madanapur, Pebbair, Srirangapur, Weepanagandla, Chinnambaavi, Pentlavelly, Dharoor, Gadwal, Itikyal, and Manopad.
  • Additionally, the project includes a provision for generating 234 MW of hydroelectric power, managed by TS GENCO, with a revised estimated cost of Rs. 1,815.20 Crores.

Ookachettuvagu Project, Ramanpad (v)
