Windows Live Movie Maker - Adding Effects Video Lecture | Information & Communication Technology for Grade 4

hey guys sean here Mahalo comm in
today's lesson I'm going to show you how
to add effects to your film inside of
Windows Live Movie Maker now a real nice
way to spruce up your videos and photos
inside of Windows Live Movie Maker is to
add effects to them now let's say for
instance I like to add visual effects to
this clip right here because I possibly
feel like the beginning is kind of dull
although I do like this in part it's
what I can do I'll back up the footage
to the part I like by grabbing the
timeline let's say right there so what
I'm going to do is I'm going to split
the footage by pressing M on the
keyboard now the earlier footage which I
didn't think was that interesting I'm
going to add an effect to it and add an
effect
make sure you clicked on the visual
effects tab at the top then just select
the effect you like to add to this video
take a blur
an edge detection there's quite a few
other effects you can add as well for
this video I'd like to add the edge
detection now I have it selected let's
check it out
I like that but let's add one more
effect and do a transition between the
two so click on animations click down
let's do a crossfade now let's see how
we like it
that's pretty nice
now let's spruce up one of our photos by
adding visual effects to that now let's
add the huge cycle effect to our photo
just make sure you clicked on visual
effects and then click on hue cycle now
let's check this out yeah it's very nice
effect for a sunset now as well as that
under the visual effects tab you can
also change the brightness like right
here where now we can see more in the
scene there you go
that's how you add a visual effect and
change the brightness of your clips and
video inside of Windows Live Movie Maker
