1. What is the difference between mansabdars and jagirdars?

Ans. Mansabdars and jagirdars were two different administrative positions in the Mughal Empire. They had to ensure that the revenue collection was efficient and met the targets set by the emperor.

Ans. Mansabdars were rewarded with a higher rank or mansab, which increased their salary and the number of soldiers they were expected to maintain. Ans. Yes, both mansabdars and jagirdars enjoyed certain privileges. Mansabdars were given the right to collect revenue from a specified number of villages, known as chauth and sardeshmukhi. They also had the authority to extract goods and services from the local population for the maintenance of their soldiers. Jagirdars, on the other hand, had the right to collect revenue from the assigned jagir. They could also exercise control over the land and people within their jurisdiction. However, these privileges were accompanied by responsibilities and obligations towards the empire.
