(ii) Shinde started playing volleyball at 4:45 p.m. He played for 1 hour 15 minutes. When did he stop playing?

Started playing at =  4:45 p.m
Played for = 1 hour 15 minutes
He stopped at 6:00 p.m.

(iii) A ferry boat started to sail at 11:30 a.m. It completed the journey at 3:10 p.m. How long did it sail?

Q11: Kavita's school was closed from 15 December onwards for 28 days. On what date did the school reopen?

Kavita school was closed from 15 December and reopened after 28 days.
Number of days from 15 December till 31st December = 17
Number of days left in January = 28 - 17 = 12
Therefore, School reopened on 12th January
(28 days from 15 December = 12 January.)

Q12: What date is 23 days before 8th June?
Ans:
16th May

Our starting date is June 8, so that means 23 days before would be May 16.

According to the question:- 8 days are considered in June.

that means ( 23-8)  15 days will be deducted from May.

May has 31 days in total.

We have to deduct 15 days from MAY, that means ( 31- 15), it will be 16 th day of May,

There are 31 days in August and 30 days in September

Q14: Salman's half-yearly exams begin on 18th October. He starts his revision 35 days earlier. When did he start his revision?
