  • EduRev offers GMAT mock tests as part of the Infinity package for GMAT exam preparation. These mock tests are administered under time constraints, which can help with your time management abilities and also build up test-taking stamina.

GMAT Exam vs other MBA Entrance Exams

The GMAT exam is a standardized exam that is commonly required for admission to graduate business and management programs. Some schools may accept alternative exams in place of the GMAT exam, such as the GRE (Graduate Record Examination) or the Executive Assessment.

  • The GRE is a general aptitude test that can assist students in gaining admission to graduate programs in a wide range of disciplines, including MBA programs. The GRE is a standardized test that measures a test-taker's abilities in the areas of Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, and Analytical Writing. Many business programs accept the GRE in place of the GMAT exam as the test measures similar skills. Historically, the GMAT has been given more weight than the GRE in the admissions process for MBA programs.
  • Another alternative is the Executive Assessment (EA), which is designed for experienced professionals applying to executive MBA programs. The Executive Assessment is a shorter test and is focused on measuring executive potential and business acumen. The Executive Assessment includes three parts: the Analytical Writing Assessment (AWA), the Integrated Reasoning (IR) and the Quantitative Reasoning (QR) sections.
  • Other Popular tests for MBA programs include CAT, XAT, IIFT, NMAT(by GMAC), SNAP, TISSNET, CMAT, MAT, and IBSAT.

It is important to research the specific admission requirements for the schools and programs you are interested in to determine if they accept alternative exams in place of the GMAT exam. Some schools may have a preference for one exam over the other or may require additional testing or materials in addition to the alternative exam.
