(i) How to make a banana shake
Ans: Six ripe bananas are peeled and crushed into a smooth pulp. Meanwhile, half a liter of milk is boiled. Once the milk is ready, the banana pulp and sugar are added to it. The mixture is stirred continuously for two minutes and then removed from the heat. It is allowed to cool for a few minutes before being blended well in a mixer. The banana shake is now ready to be served chilled.
Banana Shake(ii) How to make chapattis
Ans: Half a pound of coarse flour is taken, and soft dough is prepared using cold water. The dough is then covered and left to rest for an hour. After that, it is kneaded again and divided into small balls. Each ball is rolled into a flat, round shape. Meanwhile, a griddle is heated on a slow flame. The chapatti is placed on the griddle and flipped occasionally until it turns slightly brown. It is then ready to be served hot.
ChapattiQ2: Tea is always refreshing. Given below is the process for making tea. Write down the process in not more than 100 words.
Ans: First, one cup of water is boiled in a vessel. Once it starts boiling, a teaspoon of tea leaves is added and allowed to steep for a few minutes. The brewed tea is then strained into a cup. Half a cup of milk and sugar, as per taste, are added and stirred thoroughly. The tea is now ready to be served hot. Alternatively, lemon juice can be added instead of milk for a refreshing variation.
Q3: Whole–wheat pasta is good for health. Describe the process of making pasta in about 50 – 100 words.
Ans: A bowl of whole-wheat pasta is taken and washed thoroughly. A deep vessel is filled with water, salt is added, and it is brought to a boil. The pasta is then added and cooked until it is three-fourths done. It is strained and set aside to rest. Meanwhile, oil is heated in a pan, and chopped garlic and tomatoes are sautéed. The boiled pasta is added to the pan and mixed well. Finally, grated cheese is sprinkled on top, and the pasta is ready to be enjoyed.
