OVERVIEWS:- The story gives the idea of production and employment in the villages of India. Palampur is a hypothetical village. Farming is the main activity. Beside diary farming, small scale production, shop keeping, etc are the other activities. Palampur is connected with Raiganj a big village(3km away from Palampur) and Shahpur a small town.
∗ Many kinds of vehicles like tongas, bullock carts, bogeys(carts drawn by buffaloes) loaded with jaggery, jeep, motor vehicle, tractors and trucks are also seen in the village.
∗ There are 450 families in Palampur. Out of them 80 families are of upper castes own lands in the village. The dalits are comprised of one-third of the population and lived in a corner of the village in smaller and mud & straw house.
∗ The village had the facilities of electricity, tube wells, 2 primary school, one high school, a primary heath center runs by the government and one private dispensary.

1.LAND:- contains natural resource, water, minerals and forest
2.LABOUR:- People do the work and manufacture goods and services. Labours may be skilled, unskilled, educated or uneducated depending upon the production works and requirement.
3.PHYSICAL CAPITAL:- It is of 2 types-
a)FIXED CAPITAL- Tools, machine, building,etc. They may be ranged from very simple such as farmers plough to sophesticated machines such as generators, computers, etc.
b)WORKING CAPITAL- Raw materials and money in hand is known as working capitals.
