Writing a Date |
Time, marked by the past, present, and future, is essential for understanding the flow of events. With units like seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, and years, clocks help us measure and organize our activities. It serves as a crucial tool for scheduling, planning, and coordinating our daily lives.
The Earth is like a big ball floating in space. It gets light from the sun, which makes it bright and sunny on one side. This bright side is called daytime. But on the other side of the Earth, it's dark because it's not facing the sun. This dark side is called nighttime.
It's a circle – daytime, then nighttime, and then daytime again. And this circle keeps going around and around as the Earth spins. Cool, right?
A clock is used to measure time. A clock has two hands— the short hand called the hour hand and the long hand called the minute hand.
60 minutes = 1 hour
1 day = 24 hours
A calendar is a system used to organize and record time, typically based on the cycles of the Earth's movements, such as the rotation of the Earth on its axis and its orbit around the Sun.
