Parts of the Body

  1. Head: The head is one of the most important parts of the body. The head protects the brain, which is responsible for all the functions of our body. Our head is full of hair. The front side of the head is the face with the forehead, eyes, nose, mouth, cheek, chin, etc. Teeth are present inside our mouth, which are used to bite and chew the food. Below the head is the neck.
  2. Chest: Below the neck is our chest. Underneath the chest, there is a heart that beats continuously. Lungs are also present in the chest. Human body has two lungs. The shoulder lies between the neck and the chest, where the arms are connected. Belly is just below the chest.
  3. Arms: Shoulders are joined to arms. There are two arms -- the right arm and the left arm. The elbow is a joint present in the middle of the upper and lower arm. At the end of the arm, there is a hand consisting of four fingers and one thumb.
  4. Legs: B elow the belly are the legs. The upper part of the leg is called thigh. Below the thigh is the knee which is also a joint like elbow. Below the knee are the calves that are present on the back side of the lower leg. The bottommost part of the lower leg is the foot. Each foot has five toes. Ankle is the joint connecting the foot and the lower leg.
