The surrounding area or region near some place or thing is called neighbourhood.
- Park: A park is an area near a particular region or community having lots of trees and plants. It also has swings, slides and seesaws for children to play there. Elderly and other people go to park for early morning walks or evening walks.
- School: School is known as the second home for children. Children go to school every day. In school, teachers teach them and help them in learning new and good things. Children also make friends in school.
- Market: A market is a place in our neighbourhood where we go to buy things of daily needs such as vegetables, fruits, books, bread, flowers, clothes, etc.
- Post Office: A post office is a place in our neighbourhood where we post letters.
- Hospital: A hospital is a place where people visit when they are sick. It is a place where doctors and nurses work.
- Police Station: Police station is a place where policemen work. They help us by catching and punishing thieves and robbers.
- Fire Station: Fire station is a place where fire fighters. We call the fire station, whenever there is any fire in our neighbourhood.
- Railway Station: Railway station is a place where we go when we want to board a train.
- Bus Stop: Bus stop is a place where people board a bus and get down from the bus.
- Bank: Bank is a place where we keep our money. We visit the bank when we want to withdraw or deposit money.
Places of Worship
There are many places of worship where people go to pray as per the religion they follow.
