NATA 2025 Online Registration has been Started on 3rd February 2025. NATA is known as the (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) is a National level entrance exam held by Council of Architecture. NATA 2025 Eligibility Criteria
You must be aware that the candidature is subject to cancellation if you do not satisfy the eligibility for the National Aptitude Test in Architecture.
Before proceeding with the application form, you must meet the Eligibility Criteria for NATA.
- Qualification: applicants must have passed/appearing 10+2 with PCM or 10+3 diploma having mathematics as a Subject.
- Required Percentage: applicants should have at least 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics and also at least 50% marks in aggregate of the 10+2 level examination or passed 10+3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics as compulsory subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
- Appearing Applicants: Applicants appearing the 10+2 or 10+3 exam in the current year (2025) may also provisionally appear in the exam.
Note: No direct lateral admission is permitted at any other year or stage of the B.Arch course based on any qualification.

- The application form can be filled out online by visiting the NATA portal.
- The NATA 2025 application form will be available starting from the first week of March 2025.
- Applicants need to enter various details, which include personal information, uploading required documents, and paying the exam fee.
- After submitting the registration form, applicants should print the confirmation page that appears after successful payment of the fee.
- There is no requirement to send any hard copies of documents to the official authority, which is the Council of Architecture (CoA).
- The application form can be completed until the first week of April 2025 for the first session and until the last week of May 2025 for the second session.
- Applicants should ensure that all details are filled in accurately when completing the application form.
- Each applicant will have only one chance to correct their personal information after submission.

How to Fill NATA Application Form 2025
- Go through the official website and click on “New Registration” button.
- Now enter valid details to register and click on the “Submit” button.
- Login and fill application form with personal, communication, qualification & other details.
- Now upload documents as per the specified specifications mentioned.
- Make fee payment as per the payment gateway provided for submission of application fee.
- Submit application form.
- Print the application and save it for further usage.
NATA 2025 Exam Pattern & Marking Scheme
Check NATA 2025 complete exam pattern & marking scheme:
- Number of Questions: Total 125 questions will be asked in the examination.
- Total Marks: Questions will be of 200 marks for both session exams.
- Type of Questions: Multiple-Choice type (MCQ), Multiple Select type (MSQ), Preferential Choice type (PCQ) and Numerical Answer type (NAQ) will be asked in the examination.
- Language: The medium of aptitude test will be in English Language.
- Marking Scheme: Questions will Carry either 1, 2 or 3 marks.
- Negative Marking: No provision of negative marking.

NATA 2025 Syllabus [Subject-Wise]
- There has been no change in the syllabus over the span of years. The syllabus is announced and set by the conducting body.
- The Syllabus of NATA Exam 2025 includes three subjects: mathematics, general aptitude, and drawing.
NATA Syllabus for Maths
1. Algebra
- Definitions of A.P. and G.P.; General term; Summation of first n-terms of series Σn, Σn², Σn³
- Arithmetic/Geometric series, A.M., G.M. and their relation, Infinite G.P. series and its sum
2. Logarithms
- Definition; General properties; Change of base
3. Matrices
- Concepts of m x n (m ≤ 3, n ≤ 3) real matrices, operations of addition, scalar multiplication and multiplication of matrices. Transpose of a matrix. Determinant of a square matrix.
- Properties of determinants (statement only). Minor, cofactor and adjoint of a matrix. Nonsingular matrix. Inverse of a matrix. Finding area of a triangle. Solutions of system of linear equations (Not more than 3 variables).
4. Trigonometry
- Trigonometric functions, addition and subtraction formulae, formulae involving multiple and submultiple angles, general solution of trigonometric equations.
- Properties of triangles, inverse trigonometric functions and their properties
5. Coordinate Geometry
- Distance formula, section formula, area of a triangle, condition of collinearity of three points in a plane. Polar coordinates, transformation from Cartesian to polar coordinates and vice versa.
- Parallel transformation of axes, concept of locus, elementary locus problems. Slope of a line. Equation of lines in different forms, angle between two lines. Condition of perpendicularity and parallelism of two lines. Distance of a point from a line. Distance between two parallel lines. Lines through the point of intersection of two lines.
- Equation of a circle with a given center and radius. Condition that a general equation of second degree in x, y may represent a circle. Equation of a circle in terms of endpoints of a diameter. Equation of tangent, normal and chord. Parametric equation of a circle. Intersection of a line with a circle. Equation of common chord of two intersecting circles.
6. 3-dimensional Coordinate Geometry
- Direction cosines and direction ratios, distance between two points and section formula, equation of a straight line, equation of a plane, distance of a point from a plane.
7. Theory of Calculus
- Functions, composition of two functions and inverse of a function, limit, continuity, derivative, chain rule, derivatives of implicit functions and functions defined parametrically.
- Integration as a reverse process of differentiation, indefinite integral of standard functions. Integration by parts. Integration by substitution and partial fraction. Definite integral as a limit of a sum with equal subdivisions.
- Fundamental theorem of integral calculus and its applications. Properties of definite integrals. Formation of ordinary differential equations, solution of homogeneous differential equations, separation of variables method, linear first-order differential equations.
8. Application of Calculus
- Tangents and normals, conditions of tangency. Determination of monotonicity, maxima and minima. Differential coefficient as a measure of rate. Motion in a straight line with constant acceleration.
- Geometric interpretation of definite integral as area, calculation of area bounded by elementary curves and Straight lines. Area of the region included between two elementary curves.
9. Permutation & Combination
- Permutation of n different things taken r at a time (r ≤ n). Permutation of n things not all different. Permutation with repetitions (circular permutation excluded).
- Combinations of n different things taken r at a time (r ≤ n). Combination of n things not all different. Basic properties. Problems involving both permutations and combinations.
10. Statistics & Probability
- Measure of dispersion, mean, variance and standard deviation, frequency distribution.
- Addition and multiplication rules of probability, conditional probability and Bayes’ Theorem, independence of events, repeated independent trials and Binomial distribution.

Syllabus for Drawing Test
- Understanding the important visual principles in a composition (2D OR 3D) such as balance, rhythm, direction, hierarchy, etc.
- Understanding geometry and the ability to visualize shape and solve geometrical puzzles to test spatial intelligence.
- Understanding color theory and the various terminologies to test color scheme awareness and knowledge.
- Visual system interpretation and perception to test graphical similarities and other properties.
- Ability to understand spatial relationship between objects, and to visualize images and scenarios.

NATA 2025 Answer Key
- The answer key is an official document released by the exam conducting authority that helps to check your responses before announcing results.
- This way, you can estimate your scores and know if you are eligible for further stages. Generally, the Answer Key for NATA 2025 is released the next day of the exam.

Q1. What is the format to upload the document while filling the application form?
Ans. The documents should be uploaded in the JPEG/JPG format while filling the application.
Q2. Will the test fee be refunded for any valid reason?
Ans. No. The fee is non-refundable at any cost.
Q3. Is NATA online examination? What are the total marks for the exam and what is Exam
Pattern?
Ans. The NATA is completely a computer-based test. The total marks for the test are 200. 125 questions have to be answered in 180 minutes (3 hours). Questions will carry either 1, 2 or 3 marks. Questions could be of the Multiple-Choice type (MCQ), Multiple Select type (MSQ), Preferential Choice type (PCQ) and Numerical Answer type (NAQ).
Q4. Can I change the test center?
Ans. No. The request for change of test center once allotted will not be entertained.
Q5. What items should I carry to the exam hall for the drawing test?
Ans. NATA is completely a computer-based test. So candidates need to only carry the following to the exam hall:
i. Downloaded Admit Card of NATA.
ii. Original Proof of Identity- Aadhar/ Passport/ Driving License/ Voter ID.
iii. Pen, pencil and eraser for rough working
Mobile Phones, Bluetooth devices, Calculators, Slide Rules, Log Tables, Electronic Watches or any other electronic gadget with facilities of Calculator are not allowed in the Examination Hall. Possession of such items during the Examinations may lead to cancellation of candidature.
Candidates found carrying any textual material, printed or written, bits of papers or any other material will be debarred from appearing the examination.
Q6. Nata exam will be held separately for both the exam?
Ans. Yes, the exam will be held separately on different dates for the test.
Q7. Without aadhar card can I apply for the NATA exam?
Ans. Yes, you can apply as aadhaar card is not mandatory to apply.
