Electric Charges and Fields Topic-wise Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) for NEET Preparation | Topic-wise MCQ Tests for NEET PDF Download

NEET Physics is considered to be the most difficult subject in the NEET exam as the students preparing for NEET have less interest in physics and more in biology. But if you want to get an edge over others, you must practise NEET Physics questions. Physics demands the attention of students in understanding calculations and concrete basic understanding but once done it only gets easier from there.
One of the smart techniques to prepare for the NEET Physics exam is to know about the topic-wise important questions from each chapter and practice its multiple choice questions (MCQs) on a regular basis. To highlight this, the experts at EduRev have compiled tests from most important topics of Physics Multiple choice questions (MCQs) for your practice. These topic-wise multiple choice questions (MCQs) tests are made precisely from NCERT and some of them have even been asked in previous year NEET papers.

FAQs on Electric Charges and Fields Topic-wise Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) for NEET Preparation - Topic-wise MCQ Tests for NEET

1. What is the concept of electric charges and fields?
Ans. Electric charges and fields refer to the study of electric charges, their behavior, and the interaction between them. It involves understanding the concept of electric charge, the behavior of charged particles in electric fields, and the concept of electric potential and electric field lines.
2. How do electric charges interact with each other?
Ans. Electric charges interact with each other through the electromagnetic force. Like charges repel each other, while opposite charges attract each other. The force between two charges is directly proportional to the product of their magnitudes and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them, as given by Coulomb's law.
3. What is an electric field?
Ans. An electric field is a region in space around an electric charge where it exerts a force on other charged particles. It is a vector quantity and is defined as the force experienced by a unit positive charge placed at a point in the field. Electric field lines are used to represent the direction and strength of the electric field.
4. What is the difference between electric potential and electric potential energy?
Ans. Electric potential is the amount of electric potential energy per unit charge at a point in an electric field. It is a scalar quantity and is measured in volts. On the other hand, electric potential energy is the potential energy associated with a charged object due to its position in an electric field. It depends on the charge of the object, the electric field strength, and the distance between the object and the reference point.
5. How is electric field strength related to electric potential?
Ans. Electric field strength is related to electric potential through the equation E = -∆V/∆d, where E is the electric field strength, ∆V is the change in electric potential, and ∆d is the displacement in the direction of the electric field. The negative sign indicates that the electric field points in the direction of decreasing electric potential.
