Theory

These type of questions can be solved easily if we draw an appropriate table corresponding to the problem.
For eg, if we are given that 5 persons A, B, C, D, E live on floors 1-5 and own cars P, Q, R, S, T but not necessarily in same order, then the table can be built like this:

So if B owns Q and lives on 4th floor, then the table looks like this

An Art and Culture exhibition is being organised in Pondicherry. 5 different states will represent their art in the exhibition during six days of a week, starting Monday and ending on Saturday. One of these days shall be a rest day.
  1. The five participating states include - Andhra Pradesh, mango, Punjab, Uttarakhand and Gujarat
  2. Only one state can put up their exhibition per day
  3. The rest day is between the days when Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat exhibit their art
  4. Punjab will put up their art work right before Uttrakhand
  5. There is a gap of 2 days between Gujarat and Punjab’s exhibition. Gujarat organised the exhibition before Punjab
  6. mango does not organise the exhibition on Saturday
