CBSE Class 10 Eligibility Criteria for 2024
To take the CBSE Class 10 Exam in 2024 , students must meet certain requirements as set by the CBSE board. These conditions must be fulfilled in order for students to be able to participate in the CBSE 10th Class exam in 2024.
To be eligible to take the CBSE Class 10 Exam in 2024 as a regular student, the following criteria must be met:
- The student must have successfully completed Class 9 from a school recognized or affiliated with the CBSE board or any other recognized board.
- The student must be enrolled in Class 10 at a school affiliated with the CBSE for the 2022-23 academic year.
- There is no age limit to take the CBSE Class 10 Exam, but the student must meet the maximum and minimum age requirements set by the government of the state or territory where the school is located at the time of enrollment.
- The student must have attended at least 75% of classes in Class 10 during the 2022-23 academic year.
- The student must submit the examination form and fee before the deadline.
- Only applications that are accepted by the board will be permitted to take the CBSE Class 10 Exam in 2024.
Private students who wish to take the CBSE All India Class 10 Exam in 2024 must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Students who have failed Class 10 in the previous academic year.
- Teachers serving in educational institutions affiliated with the Board.
- Students who have passed the 10th Class in 2024, and want to improve their marks in one or more subjects.
- Students who have passed the 10th Class in 2024 and 2024, wish to appear in an additional subject.
Private students who wish to take the Delhi Secondary School Examination in 2024 must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Candidates who had failed at the Delhi Secondary School Examination of the Board.
- Teachers serving in educational institutions affiliated with the Board.
- Physically handicapped students who have difficulty attending classes at a regular school.
- Female students who meet the following conditions:
(ii) They are bonafide residents of the NCT of Delhi.
(iii) They have privately pursued the prescribed course of study.
(iv) They are unable to join Class 10 at a school affiliated with the CBSE.

- The CBSE Class 10 Registration Form 2024 was released on September 17, 2022, for students who are planning to take the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 10 board exams for the year 2023-24. The registration of regular students for Class 10 is done when they are in Class 9.

- The exam will be of 80 marks. Internal assessment will be of 20 marks.
- The internal assessment is divided into 3 parts as follows:

What Subjects are Compulsory for Class 10?
