NEET percentile score is not the same as percentage score or raw marks, and is determined by comparing one applicant's performance to that of all other applicants who sat the exam. Knowing how to access this score and understanding the normalization process and tiebreaker rules prior to the NTA's official announcement can be beneficial for applicants.
Percentile method for NEET can be calculated by two methods:
Now let us assume,
P = Percentile
N = Total number of applicants who showed up for the test
r = Rank got by the competitor
Then, P = [(N – P)/P] X 100
So, If you had scored Rank 50 in NEET and appeared students are 6,00,000 Then the percentile will be:(600000 - 50) / (600000) X 100 - 99.99
So, you can easily find the percentile.
