GATE 2023 Result Updates: Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur) will declare the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2023) results today, March 16 at 4 PM. The GATE result can be downloaded from the candidates portal. GATE scorecard 2023 will be available on March 21 at the official website, gate.iitk.ac.in. IIT GATE 2023 is a qualifying examination for admission to MTech, doctoral programmes offered by the GATE score-accepting institutes. Once the GATE Result is released, candidates will have to enter their application number and date of birth to check the same. The answer key has already been released by IIT Kanpur on February 21, 2023. Candidates were given time till February 25, 2023 to raise objections against it.
The cut off will also be released along with the result. Cut off will be determined on the basis of the cumulative scores secured by the candidates, the total number of candidates and the seats availability etc. The final answer key and results will be prepared on the basis of objections raised by candidates. GATE 2023 was conducted on February 4,5, 11 and 12, 2023.
As per the IIT Kanpur release, about 18 percent candidates have qualified the GATE 2023 exam. The scorecards for GATE 2023 will be made available by March 22.
From the 5.17 lakh that appeared, around 1 lakh candidates have qualified the GATE 2023 examination, making it about 18 per cent as GATE 2023 qualified.

The GATE 2023 response sheets were released on February 15, and the answer key was revealed on February 21. From February 22 to February 25, candidates have the opportunity to challenge the answer key. Scorecards will be made available for download beginning March 21.
This year, around 6.70 lakh applicants registered for GATE 2023 across 29 papers. 5.17 lakh applicants took the exam in more than 500 venues around the country, with a total attendance of approximately 77%.

The GATE 2023 exam is held for a total of 100 marks. As per the IIT GATE marking scheme, 25 questions will be of one mark and the remaining 30 questions of two marks. There will be a compulsory section of general aptitude in GATE 2023 question papers for AR, CY, EY, GG, MA, PH, ST, and XL. The remaining 85 percent weightage will be given to the selected subject.
