Addition

• When performing addition, it is essential to add digits within the same place value.
• Carrying over values is allowed, and then you can add the digits in the next place value.
• Addition is commutative, which means that the order of numbers does not affect the sum.
• For Example:. + 2 = 2 + 1
• Addition is also associative.
• For Example:. + 3 + 5 = 5 + 3 + 2

Subtraction

• Subtraction involves taking one number away from another.
• It is neither associative nor commutative.
• For Example: (1 - 2) - 3 ≠ 1 - (2 - 3)

Multiplication

• Multiplication refers to adding a number to itself a specified number of times.
• It is distributive, commutative, and associative.
• Multiplication also has an identity property.
• For Example:. * 2 = 5 + 5 = 10

Division

• Division is closely related to both subtraction and addition.
• It distributes over addition and subtraction.
• For Example:
  (6 + 9) / 3 = (6 / 3) + (9 / 3)
  15/3 = 2 + 3
  5 = 5
