The story follows Ram's search for his wife, Sita, after her abduction. Ram and his brother, Lakshmana, encounter various challenges and receive help from Hanuman and Sugriva.
Ram is devastated after losing Sita and expresses his despair to Lakshmana. Despite his sorrow, Ram vows to protect his brother and decides to search for Sita in the south, based on information from Jatayu. Lakshmana assures Ram of his noble qualities and encourages him not to lose hope.
As Ram and Lakshmana travel south, they become tired, and Lakshmana goes to fetch water. He encounters a demoness named Ayomukhi, who tries to entice him. Lakshmana rejects her advances, but she imprisons him in a cave. Lakshmana breaks free, defeats Ayomukhi, and brings water and fruits for Ram.
Ram gains confidence from Lakshmana's bravery and determination, and they continue their journey south. They come across a demon with snake-like limbs who attacks Ram. Lakshmana saves Ram by severing the demon's hands. The demon reveals his backstory and requests Ram and Lakshmana to end his suffering, which they do by setting him on fire.
Ram and Lakshmana reach the kingdom of Kishkindha and encounter Hanuman, a wise minister in the kingdom. Hanuman realizes their true identity and expresses his devotion to Ram. He introduces them to Sugriva, the king in hiding, who offers his assistance after learning about Sita's abduction.
Sugriva explains his own problems with his brother, Vali, who took his wife and kingdom. Despite this, Sugriva promises to help Ram and reunite him with Sita. He assures them that his loyal minister, Hanuman, will lead the search for Sita and bring her back.
The moral of the story is that even in the face of despair and challenges, maintaining hope, trust, and the support of loved ones can empower individuals to overcome obstacles. The story emphasizes the importance of brotherhood, devotion, and perseverance in achieving goals and reuniting with loved ones.
