President Droupadi Murmu commenced her three-day visit to Jharkhand on 24th May 2023. During the visit, she inaugurated the new building of the High Court of Jharkhand in Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand. Ranchi holds historical significance as the center of the Jharkhand movement. On 25th May, President Murmu will attend a conference organized by the Tribal Affairs Ministry, where more than 500 Women Self Help Groups will participate in Khunti. She will also preside over the 2nd convocation of the Indian Institute of Information Technology in Ranchi. Furthermore, a civic reception will be hosted in her honor.
The Uttar Pradesh government, in collaboration with IIT Kanpur, has launched an online rural education program called 'Pahal.' The initiative aims to provide educational opportunities to children in rural areas who have limited access to quality education. 'Pahal' is designed to bridge the education gap between rural and urban areas. Initially, free online education will be provided in 10 government secondary schools across the state. The program will focus on providing the latest information related to science and mathematics to students in rural areas.

Television actor Nitesh Pandey, known for his role in the Starplus show "Anupamaa," passed away at the age of 51 due to a heart attack. The actor suffered cardiac arrest in Igatpuri, Maharashtra. Nitesh Pandey had a prolific career in the entertainment industry, appearing in serials such as "Manzilein Apani Apani," "Astitva...Ek Prem Kahani," "Saaya," "Justajoo," and "Durgesh Nandini." He also worked in films like "Om Shanti Om" and "Badhaai Do." Nitesh Pandey was married to actress Arpita Pandey, and he had previously been married to actress Ashwini Kalsekar.
Kethu Viswanatha Reddy, a notable writer and novelist from Andhra Pradesh, passed away at the age of 84. He suffered a cardiac arrest and was unable to be revived at a nearby hospital. Kethu Viswanatha Reddy, who hailed from Rangasaipuram in Erraguntla mandal of YSR district, was living in Kadapa. He began his career as a journalist and later shifted to the teaching profession, retiring as the Director of Ambedkar Universal University. Reddy received several awards and honors for his literary works, including the Kendra Sahitya Akademi award.
