This innovative drone has the capability to transport 50kg of cargo over a distance of 10 kilometers. Supported by institutions like IIT Mandi, AIC CV Raman Global University Odisha, and NITI Aayog, BonV Aero aims to revolutionize cargo transportation through Electric Aerial Vehicles.
At the 'Odisha Skill Conclave 2023,' Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik personally tested the drone during its launch. BonV Aero's 'RM001' Electric Aerial Vehicle has already undergone successful trials, carrying a 50-kilogram cargo at altitudes ranging from 8,000 to 10,000 feet in the Tawang region of Arunachal Pradesh. The next phase of trials will be conducted at higher altitudes of 14,000 to 16,000 feet.
The start-up's future plans include the development of their flagship platform, 'RM002,' which will have the capacity to transport 200 kilograms of freight over a distance of 40 kilometers. These versatile aerial vehicles can prove immensely valuable in disaster response and transportation of various types of cargo, especially in challenging terrains like hilly and remote areas. Moreover, they offer a cost-effective alternative to existing logistics solutions.
