Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik launches India's first heavy lift logistics drone

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated India's first heavy lift logistics drone, developed by Odisha-based start-up 'BonV Aero.' This innovative drone has the capability to transport 50kg of cargo over a distance of 10 kilometers. Supported by institutions like IIT Mandi, AIC CV Raman Global University Odisha, and NITI Aayog, BonV Aero aims to revolutionize cargo transportation through Electric Aerial Vehicles.
At the 'Odisha Skill Conclave 2023,' Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik personally tested the drone during its launch. BonV Aero's 'RM001' Electric Aerial Vehicle has already undergone successful trials, carrying a 50-kilogram cargo at altitudes ranging from 8,000 to 10,000 feet in the Tawang region of Arunachal Pradesh. The next phase of trials will be conducted at higher altitudes of 14,000 to 16,000 feet.
The start-up's future plans include the development of their flagship platform, 'RM002,' which will have the capacity to transport 200 kilograms of freight over a distance of 40 kilometers. These versatile aerial vehicles can prove immensely valuable in disaster response and transportation of various types of cargo, especially in challenging terrains like hilly and remote areas. Moreover, they offer a cost-effective alternative to existing logistics solutions.

ISRO Launches PSLV-C55 With 2 Singaporean Satellites For Earth Observation

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) successfully launched the PSLV-C55 mission from Sriharikota. This mission carried two Singaporean satellites dedicated to Earth observation. The primary satellite, TeLEOS-2, developed by the Defence Science and Technology Agency (DSTA) and ST Engineering, is equipped with a Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) payload, providing all-weather day and night coverage with 1-meter full polarimetric resolution for Singapore.
The co-passenger satellite, Lumelite-4, developed by the Institute for Infocomm Research and Satellite Technology and Research Centre of the National University of Singapore, is an advanced 12U satellite designed for the technological demonstration of the High-Performance Space-borne VHF data Exchange System (VDES).
This mission marks a significant milestone in the collaboration between ISRO and Singapore in the field of space exploration and Earth observation.

A Madhavarao set to be next CMD of Bharat Dynamics Ltd

A Madhavarao has been recommended by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel to be the next Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL), a PSU under the Ministry of Defence. Currently serving as the Director (Technical) of BDL, Madhavarao's selection is a testament to his expertise and experience in the organization.

Wing Commander Deepika Misra is an accomplished helicopter pilot, a qualified flying instructor, and an instrument-rated instructor and examiner.
