A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma, Vietnam, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania, Zaire, or Zambia with the intention of residing in India permanently is also eligible to apply for the IBPS PO Exam.

IBPS PO Eligibility Criteria 2024: Age Limit


The age limit for the IBPS PO Exam varies according to the post for which the candidate is applying. The age limit for the different posts is as follows:

  • For Officer Scale-III (Senior Manager): Above 21 years - Below 40 years i.e. candidates should not have been born earlier than 02.06.1984 and later than 01.06.2003 (both dates inclusive)
  • For Officer Scale-II (Manager): Above 21 years - Below 32 years i.e. candidates should not have been born earlier than 02.06.1992 and later than 01.06.2003 (both dates inclusive)
  • For Officer Scale- I (Assistant Manager): Above 18 years - Below 30 years i.e. candidates should not have been born earlier than 02.06.1994 and later than 01.06.2003 (both dates inclusive)

There is also age relaxation for certain categories as per government rules.

IBPS PO Eligibility Criteria 2024: Qualification


The educational qualification required to apply for the IBPS PO Exam is a graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university. The degree should be obtained on or before 01.06.2024. Candidates possessing degrees equivalent to the mentioned qualification are also eligible to apply for the exam.

The educational qualification required for different posts is as follows:

  • For Officer Scale-I (Assistant Manager): Bachelor's degree in any discipline
  • For Officer Scale-II (Manager): Bachelor's degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks
  • For Officer Scale-II (Manager) - Information Technology Officer: Bachelor's degree from a recognized University in Electronics / Communication / Computer Science / Information Technology or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
