Patterns in Numbers

A number pattern is a list of numbers. This pattern generally follows a common relation between the list of the numbers.
There are two types of number patterns:

  • Increasing Number Pattern
  • Decreasing Number Pattern

Increasing Number Pattern

If the numbers in the pattern are increasing by a particular order, then it is said to be in increasing number pattern.
Example:
Let us discuss with an example. In the below pattern, we have to guess the next number.

Patterns in Alphabets

A letter pattern is a list of letters or English alphabets. This pattern generally follows a common relationship between all the letters.
Here it is explained with an example.
Example: Find the next letter of the given pattern.
A, D, G, J, M, P, ?

Ans:
A, D, G, J, M, P
In the above sequence, the letters are written after skipping two of the letters between them.
