Q1. Why do you think glass window was broken?’
Ans: The broken glass-panes of the dusty window suggested it to be ignored part of the house. There was hardly anybody who went inside the shed.

Q2. What did the speaker’s brother try to scare the poet?
Ans: The speaker’s brother talked about the presence of a ghost inside the shed with an intention to keep him away from shed. He also warned the speaker that if he ever went inside the shed, the ghost might chop off his head.

Ans: The initial lines display the horrified appearance of the shed. The poet affirms his faith in himself and confidently resolves to enter the shed.

Ans: 
According to the speaker’s brother the ghost hid himself under the rotten floorboards of the shed.

Ans: The shed is situated at the bottom of the poets garden. In the shed, a spider’s web is hanging on the door. The poet feels that someone is staring at him. The window glasses were also broken at one side. He wishes to step inside the shed one day.

Q6. Did the poet believe to his brother? If not why?
Ans: Although the poet was scared but did not believe him because there was on one staring at him anymore nor making weird noises. Also the topsiders too had gone from his web.

Q7. Why is the poet’s desire to visit gets postponed and delayed?
Ans: The poet planned to enter the shed but he was not very confident, so he seems to have delayed his plan.

Q8. What do you mean by a shed?
Ans: A shed is a small room, away from the main house, for storing or keep things animals, tools, vehicles, etc.

Q9. What did his brother threat him?
Ans: The poets brother threated him by lying that inside the shed there stays a ghost who hides under the rotten floor boards. If he dare to enter the shed, the ghost might chop off his head down.

Q10. What happened to the window of the shed?
Ans: The window is covered with dust at one side of the shed. The glasses of the window panes are broken. The poet often feels that someone is staring at him through the window. He wishes to peep inside through the window one day whenever he pass that way.

Q11. Why do you think that the spider web hanging on the door was no longer there?
Ans: The first time when the speaker describes the shed, the speaker talks about a spider web hanging across the door of the shed. However, the next time when the speaker describes the shed, the speaker shares that it had been a long time since the spider and the web were not to be seen. Perhaps the door of the shed had been opened by the speaker’s brother, thereby displacing the spider’s web that covered the door.

Q12. How was the shed according to his brother?
Ans: The poets brother said that there was a ghost inside the shed. The ghost himself was hidden under the rotten floorboards. If the poet doors to open the shed some day, the ghost would jump out and chop off his head down. The poet still was very curious to step inside the shed one day.

Ans: The spider’s web is hanging on the door. The hinges joints of the door are very rusty whenever, the wind blows, this makes a creaking sound. The poet wished to open the door and step inside the shed one day to look around everywhere as he was lying in the bed.

Ans: 
(i) The speaker of the poem is poet Frank Flynn when he was a small boy.
(ii) He was curious not afraid as she/he always peep through that window and ready to take a peek one day.
(iii) He is planning to go inside the shed soon.
(iv) “But not just yet…” Suggests the hesitation of the poet from going inside that shed. Though he was confident that there were no ghosts but still he was hesitated to go inside and thought that soon he will go inside the shed but not now.
