IBPS PO 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for IBPS PO 2023 need to satisfy the eligibility criteria with respect to three different parameters- nationality, age limit, and educational qualification. Failing to fulfill any of them will lead to the rejection of the aspirant’s candidature. Given below are the eligibility guidelines as per the IBPS.

IBPS PO 2023 Nationality

One of the following could describe the applicant:

  • An Indian Citizen
  • Before January 1, 1962, any Tibetan refugee who had made a permanent home in India was considered a permanent resident.
  • Bhutan or Nepal as a topic.
  • A person of Indian descent who has moved to India permanently from Sri Lanka, Burma, Vietnam, Pakistan, Kenya, Ethiopia, Malawi, Tanzania, Zaire, and Zambia.

IBPS PO Age Limit 2023

A candidate must be between the ages of 20 and 30 years. The age relaxation for IBPS PO is provided below:

  • A graduate degree from an accredited university is necessary, such as BA, Bsc, BCom, or B.Tech.
  • It is to be remembered that the grade or degree must be obtained by the due date (to be issued).
  • Candidates with degrees that match the requirements are also acceptable.
  • Language proficiency- The Candidate should be able to speak and write the state’s or UT’s language.

IBPS PO Selection Process 2023

The applicants will be appointed based on performance in the below-mentioned three stages of IBPS PO Exam 2023:

  • Preliminary Exam
  • Mains Exam
  • Interview

The candidates will have to score a section cut-off and overall selection as well. The Preliminary Exam is for qualifying for the Mains exam and in the interview round minimum cut-off marks are required for the Mains exam. The Interview round will be conducted by the participating organizations and coordinated by the Nodal Bank in each State/UT. This interview round holds 100 marks.

IBPS PO Interview 2023

  • Applicants after clearing the Prelims and Mains exam will be invited for the IBPS PO interview round.
  • The Interview round will be conducted by the participating organizations and coordinated by the Nodal Bank in each State/UT.
  • The interview round holds 100 marks.
  • IBPS calculates the final result based on the weightage of marks obtained in the Mains exam and the interview in the ratio of 80:20.

Final Score Calculation for IBPS PO Exam 2023

The final score for the IBPS PO exam is calculated keeping the following points in mind:

  • Marks obtained in the Preliminary Exam (Tier-1) will not be considered in the final score and are only for qualifying for Mains Exam (Tier-2).
  • Candidates must qualify for Phase-2 and Interview separately to be eligible for final merit.
  • The weightage (ratio) of the IBPS PO Main exam and interview for the final merit list will be 80:20 respectively.
  • The aggregate score out of 100 is used for the final merit list for each category. Candidates with top merit rank in each category are finally selected.

IBPS PO Cut-Off 2023

The cut-off mark is the minimum score a candidate must get to be selected for IBPS PO:

  • Each applicant must obtain a minimum cut-off score in each test of the online IBPS Mains examination as well as a minimum overall score to be eligible for an interview.
  • The number of vacancies will decide the IBPS PO cut-offs and qualified applicants will be called for an IBPS PO interview.
  • The final selection would be based on both the interview results and the marks earned in the IBPS PO Mains Exam.

IBPS PO 2023 Admit Card

The IBPS PO admit cards for the 2023 Prelims, Mains, and Interviews will all be made available online separately on the official website. Candidates must log in with their registration number, roll number, date of birth, or password to download their admit cards. Candidates will not receive their admit cards by postal mail. IBPS PO admits card is an important document without which candidates will not be allowed to the exam venue.

IBPS PO Salary and Benefits

The initial in-hand salary package offered to an IBPS Probationary Officer is Rs. 52,000 to 55,000 with dearness allowances, special allowances, HRA, and other perks. The IBPS PO Gross Salary is around Rs. 57,000 and after a deduction, the net in-hand salary remains around Rs. 52,000 to 55,000. Dearness, CCA, HRA, and Medical Aid are also provided.

IBPS PO Exam Centre 2023

The IBPS PO exam is conducted online at numerous centres all over India and the candidate can mention their preferences at the time of filling in the online application. However, if there is a non-availability of seats at preferred venues, IBPS may allot an exam center other than the choices made by a candidate. IBPS is the sole authority on adding or removing an exam centre and candidates can’t make requests for change in the exam center. The Nodal Banks/ Participating Organizations may arrange pre-examination training for SC/ST/Religious Minority Community candidates at certain centres as per the guidelines issued by the Government of India. This is a kind of orientation session where candidates are told about types of questions, common mistakes, tips for time management, best practices, basic tricks, and strategies by experts from training institutes.
