The Reserve Bank of India is the central bank of the country, responsible for regulating and supervising the monetary policy and financial systems in India. Though there is no interview in the RBI Assistant recruitment process, the selection process for this position is rigorous, consisting of a Preliminary exam, a Main exam, and a Language Proficiency Test.

The language competence test is expected to be administered in the state's official/local language, as listed below.
