Overview

• Before applying for GATE 2024, candidates must ensure they meet the eligibility criteria.
• Candidates in the 3rd year or higher of an undergraduate program or those with a completed government-approved degree in Engineering/Technology/Science/Architecture/Humanities are eligible.

Professional Societies/Institutions

• The Institution of Engineers (India) (IE)
• The Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE)
• The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE)
• The Aeronautical Society of India (AeSI)
• The Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers, including Polymer and Environmental Group (IIChE)
• The Indian Institute of Metals (IIM)
• The Indian Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIIE)

Professional Societies' Certification

• Candidates with certifications from professional societies must ensure the exams are approved by MoE/AICTE/UGC/UPSC as equivalent to B.E./B.Tech./B.Arch./B.Planning.

Additional Eligibility Details

• Candidates meeting the mentioned criteria are eligible for GATE 2024.
• Candidates pursuing or possessing degrees higher than specified are allowed to appear.
• B.Sc./B.A./B.Com. degree holders (3-year program) seeking admission to Masters programs in IITs and IISc should refer to specific guidelines.
• Students enrolled in professional bodies as per MHRD OM (No. 11-15/2011-AR (TS.II)) with recognition until May 31, 2013, are recognized.
