Day and Night Sky
When you wake up in the morning, the sky looks bright and blue because the sun is shining and giving us light and warmth.
At night, the sky turns dark. You can see the moon, which changes shape every few days (these are called moon phases), and stars that twinkle like tiny lights.
Did You Know?
Some stars form special patterns in the sky. These patterns are called constellations.
Constellation
Our solar system is like a big family with the sun and eight planets. One Sun is the star at the center and eight planets go around (revolve) the sun.

Fun Fact:
Some planets are rocky, like Earth and Mars, while others are gassy, like Jupiter and Saturn!
The Earth spins like a top. This is called rotation.
Rotation of Earth causes Day and Night
The Earth also moves around the Sun in a big circle. This is called revolution.
